Airborne Cloud Observations
We investigate the interaction of visible light with atmospheric ice particles with the goal to reduce the uncertainty in future climate projections related to ice cloud radiative effect. We conduct airborne measurements with instrumentation developed at IMK-AAF and work with optical particle models for atmospheric ice crystals. This group has been funded from the Helmholtz Association's Initiative and Networking Fund for the period of 2020-2026.
